While in Ohio area we had two occasions to use Mobility Roadside. One was for a mechanical issue with our starter.
A tow truck was dispatched by Mobility Roadside to tow our unit to the nearest repair facility and a van to pick us up since one of our passengers uses a wheelchair. The tow truck and the van got there within 15 minutes of each other, the work was completed and we got back on the road, in a couple of hours.
Once we picked up our uncle in Indiana, and were driving back home to Seattle, we then had a suspension problem with our van. Again we called Mobility Roadside and they dispatched a tow truck and a paratransit van to take us to a local dealership for repairs. They got us back on the road again within 4 hours and had no more problems traveling across states on our way home.
My son and I were on a road trip to drop him off to his new college in Utah, when I had my experience with Mobility Roadside Assistance.
I was 61 miles east of Austin, NV on Highway 50. My van developed a problem with the engine. I had turned around knowing that the next town east was over 75 miles away and that the nearest was behind me in Austin. There was no cell service with my phone and my son flagged a truck down from a mining company working in the area. He let us use his cell to call Mobility Roadside. They sent a tow truck that was a flat bed, winched me and my son on to the tow truck and ran us back to Austin NV where the garage diagnosed my problem, fixed it so we could get back on the highway again.
All together it took around a 1 1/2 hours to get the winch truck to us and another hour to get us to Austin, but I can tell you it was hardly a problem especially when no money had to come out of my wallet to pay the tow bill and it was in the hundreds I can tell you, because I saw the invoice I signed.
We were having lunch in Winnemucca NV, and after eating, went back to our car only to find that we had accidentally locked ourselves out. We knew our Mobility Roadside Assistance contract was in the glove box of our car. Fortunately, there was a locksmith across the street from where we were. After the locksmith unlocked our car, we called Mobility Roadside, and they provided a credit card over the phone for the service and we were on our way.
